LYNDI ALEXANDER (also writing as ALANA LORENS) was a family practice lawyer for over thirty years in addition to being a newspaper reporter and editor. She now lives as a post-modern hippie in rural North Carolina. She always dreamed of faraway worlds and interesting alien contacts. Raising the last child of seven, a daughter diagnosed on the autism spectrum, she says every day feels like first contact with a new species. Series include the Horizon Crossover science fiction series and the Clan Elves of the Bitterroot urban fantasy series. SHERRI ANN (also writing as Ariana Gaynor) is an author of contemporary romance and paranormal fiction. Working out of her home in central Ohio leaves her plenty of time for writing and spending her summers visiting the zoo and gardening with her partner and daughter. She can also whip up a pitcher of delicious margaritas when the mood strikes.

TERRI BRANSON earned an associate degree in math and science before turning her efforts toward the studies of creative writing and graphic arts. In addition to being a digital artist, a musician, a photographer, and an editor, she is an award-winning author who has sold articles on the craft of writing and conducted many local writing workshops. Publications include children’s picture books (published on the Kittycat Books label), coloring books, fantasy, musical compositions, non-fiction, romance, and science fiction published on the DFP Books label. JANYCE BRAWN is a retired K-12 English as a Second Language and Spanish teacher who also has a degree in Art. She uses her art training to illustrate magazines and books. With a vivid imagination, Janyce has been writing and drawing since she was a little girl working on handwritten stories and crayoned pictures for books with her twin sister. Married to her husband for many amazing years, she has three grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and one granddaughter. Janyce has used her son’s exploits for inspiration in her writing and art projects over the years. Her Boston Terrier is always curious about what she’s doing at her desk and sticks her short nose into everything, thinking she is helping create characters and scenes. When Janyce isn’t writing or drawing, she likes to read, go boating on the nearby lake, or visit with family and friends.

EDWARD EATON has studied and taught in the States, China, Israel, Oman, and France. He holds a PhD in Theatre History and Literature. With a background in play writing, he has worked as a theater director and fight choreographer, a newspaper columnist, and a theater critic. An avid SCUBA diver and skier, he resides in Massachusetts with his wife Silviya and son Christopher. Publications include drama, verse novella, and young adult fantasy.

PAT GAINES worked 22 years in the Lincoln County courthouse in Oklahoma until her retirement in 2003. She and her husband Jerry had two children and three grandchildren. She loved to paint, do various arts and crafts, read, teach the Bible, and watch movies. She wrote articles for local newspapers and offered a free online Bible study. Her interest in early American history inspired her to bring Amos Hannah’s journal to the world.

JUDY GOODSPEED, a graduate of Oklahoma East Central State College, was a junior high school teacher and coach for thirty years. She has been a newspaper writer for The Wewoka, The Holdenville Tribune, and The Hughes County Times. She has had magazine articles published in Rodeo News, Outdoor Oklahoma, Good Old Days, and The Ketchpen. Judy is a member of PAWS and OWFI.

PAULA BLAIS GORGAS worked as an NSA intelligence analyst and a children’s librarian. Her late husband Chet Gorgas was a retired Navy Commander turned pro-golfer. Together they had four grown sons and a dozen grandchildren. After Chet retired from military service, they moved to beautiful Poteau, Oklahoma, where Paula honed her writing skills.

ROBERTA HOFFER is a retired preschool teacher from a small town in Indiana. She married her high school sweetheart. Together they have two children and have one grandson. Roberta loves animals and is an advocate for animal rights. When not writing, Roberta enjoys boating, camping, walking, snow activities, and anything that involves her family being together.

MARIA OGLESBY is an illustrator and designer based in Southern California. In addition to working as a freelance artist, she also works as a photographer and runs her own business, Landfish Apparel. When she’s not painting or drawing she can be usually be found with her cat, Lyla, and a good book.

Publications include the adult coloring book Wild Animal Fun Facts rated G for all ages and audiences.


KATHY OTTEN is the author of historical romance novels, short stories, and young adult novels. Her Civil War romance novel, A PLACE IN YOUR HEART, was a 2016 RWA Northwest Houston Chapter Lone Star Winner. Her western novel, LOST HEARTS, was a 2008 Utah/Salt Lake RWA Hearts of the West finalist. Kathy has been writing and making up stories as long as she can remember. Her first short story, Redemption of a Cavalier, was published in 2006, and she has been moving forward ever since. A certified book coach, she helps writers bring their story visions to life. She also teaches classes on writing craft, both online and in person at workshops and conferences. When she’s not writing, she enjoys walking her German shepherd through the woods and fields near her home or curling up with her cat and a good book.

CAROL PREFLATISH has worked in social services for over thirty years. Her interest in writing began in high school when she worked as a photographer, reporter, and sport’s editor for the school newspaper. One of Carol’s favorite hobbies is photography. She has had many photos published in her local newspaper, as well as in the July 1997 issue of Golf Journal, the official publication of the United States Golf Association. Carol is a member of the Sisters in Crime organization. Because of her interest in history, she co-authored A Commemorative History of Crawford County, Indiana 1818-1993. Carol is a member of the Sisters in Crime organization.

Publications include the romantic suspense novel, Mountain of Deception.
